Finding friendship and fabulous Txakoli
Along with my uncle Jabi Lopetegi, I met Julian Ostolaza for the first time today. He and his wife do everything at their vineyard, Gañeta, where they produce 2 Txakolis. Even though Julian lived on a hill in Getaria close to my home, I never heard of his Txakoli name before. However, Julian showed me the entire winery and we tasted the wine and I have to say it was the best Txakoli that I have tasted in my life.
After the tour, we ate lunch in Aiten-Etxe which is a restaurant located in Zarautz with magnificient views to the beach and the ocean., and a perfect place to further enjoy more of his Txakolis!
